sadly, from what i have heard from the album thus far(sans this track), it takes a turn back to the 80’s synthpop direction they started with, and while that could be a black celebration, it falls short of their former glory, and doesn’t hold any substance compared to their previous album playing the angel….I hope some time in the studio improves the sound some. Depeche Mode is one of my alltime favorite bands, and playing the angel exceeded my expectations, I hope sounds of the universe can capture a 10th of the mood, composition, and brutally honest vocals.
